Position:              Highway Laborer

 

Job Location:     Webster, NY

                                  1005 Picture Parkway, Webster, NY 14580

 

Starting Pay:    $16.85 per hour

The Town of Webster is seeking a Highway Labors interested in a career, not just a job. Positions is full-time with excellent benefits, including health insurance and NYS pension. Requires ability to perform physically demanding work outdoors in all weather conditions. Schedule includes off-hours work.

Typical Duties:

  • Patching and luting asphalt
  • Mixing, forming and pouring concrete
  • Running chainsaw and other small engine equipment
  • Raking topsoil, brush and debris
  • Installing pipe
  • Driving truck

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Class B CDL
  • Experience with asphalt, concrete or excavation work
  • Commitment, common sense, and ambition for a life-long career
  • Skilled trades such as electrical, framing, carpentry, plumbing

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must have a clean driver’s license
  • Pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, background check and driver’s license check.
