Weekend Building Manager

We are now accepting applications for a Weekend Building Manager who is responsible for the general management of the Webster Parks and Recreation facility and all meetings and special events taking place at that time.  This position is responsible for the operation of all administrative processes required to ensure efficiency and professionalism within the department.

Hours:               Saturday    12:00 pm – 9:00 pm

                          Sunday        9:00 am – 6:00 pm

General duties include but are not limited to:

  1. Provide quality customer service to all guests entering the Recreation building including staff, fitness members and community partners
  2. Address facility questions and concerns, including any issues that come up at events taking place at the Webster Recreation building or other park facilities regarding heat, air conditioning, double booking
  3. Resolve any concerns regarding room set-ups, additional customer needs or last minute reservations
  4. Oversee Recreation Center closing procedures including but not limited to ensuring that rooms are returned to their original order of assembly and cleanliness
  5. Coordinate personnel shift changes due to absenteeism
  6. Answer phones as needed to respond to facility inquiries, make facility reservations, program participant enrollment
  7. Appropriately handle RecTrac system overrides, data changes and payment refunds

Skills and Qualifications:

  1. Computer skills including Microsoft Office.  Previous experience with data base and/or enrollment software a plus
  2. Customer service experience
  3. Personnel management experience
  4. Ability to work independently with problem solving ability under little supervision
  5. Dependable and able to follow-through with tasks
  6. Organizational skills with strong attention to detail
  7. Ability to multi-task and oversee multiple projects at once


  1. Able to lift up to 50 pounds
  2. Able to sit, stand, maintain physical activity for extended periods of time in a variety of environments

Grounds Crew (May - August)

Hours vary including nights and weekends.  General Duties include but are not limited to: opening/closing fields, placing/removing tarps, preparing fields for play, general cleaning and maintenance, dispose of trash found in and around field and bleacher areas, assist/monitor field activity.  Requirements include must be 18 yrs of age, must have valid NYS Drivers License, able to operate mechanical equipment, able to lift up to 50 lbs. *Pre-employment background check and drug test required (18+ yrs of age).
