Webster Special Police Dept. Welcomes New Officers

On Saturday May 11th, the 6th session of the NY State Peace Officer academy graduated from the Monroe County public safety training facility. The Town of Webster had two recruits successfully complete this basic training school - Giovanni Cambareri and Jonathan Zodarecky.

The academy training involves approximately 140 hours of classroom, defensive tactics, practical instruction, and written exams over the course of 4 months. Special Police units from Greece, Gates, and Ogden as well as court security officers from East Rochester participated in this session.

Giovanni and Jon will now participate as probationary Special Police Officers in the months ahead while being further trained and supervised by senior officers.

Congratulations to Giovanni and Jon on their achievement!
